Cody was an Aflac High School All American in Baseball & Perfect Game 10. Cody played baseball for the University of Florida Gators & The University of Nebraska Cornhuskers where he was an NBC All American on the field. & Academic All American off. He went on to play professional baseball for 3 years.
After baseball, Cody began his journey as a co-founder of a VC funded start-up called Zoom By Phone. In 2014 Cody worked directly with Thompson Reuters to build their Findlaw.com SEO strategy. By 2015, Cody was leading Target.com's paid social team and launched the Cartwheel app. In 2016, Cody founded his first eCommerce business, Bucks of America, best known for their brand Bucks of Nebraska as the Midwests go to local lifestyle apparel brand.
By 2017, Cody built a marketing agency with Kevin Harrington, the original shark from shark tank, which launched 727 Digital. In 2018, 727 was the agency of record for the largest online business aggregator turned Ponzi Scheme, Income store. (What an experience that was! and no, had no clue)
In 2020, Cody started an online furniture business that has sold over $5m since its inception & Built BestBaseballGifts.com as a licensed MLB product seller.
In 2024, Cody helps new agency owners get started as a certified marketing pro and offers consulting around digital marketing and paid advertising.
